Royalty Management Holding Corporation Portfolio Company ReElement Technologies Secures Financing to Accelerate Critical Mineral Refining

Royalty Management Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: RMCO) announced that its portfolio holding, ReElement Technologies, has entered into a series of financings to aggressively expand its operations, which will increase revenues under a royalty agreement with Royalty Management. The financing includes a $25 million investment from the United States Department of War, as disclosed by ReElement, to accelerate production of critical minerals essential for U.S. defense and commercial industries. This investment is in addition to a previously closed investment from Transition Equity Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm.

ReElement Technologies, with operations in Noblesville, Indiana and Marion, Indiana, is a critical mineral refining company that processes end-of-life recycled materials, virgin ores, and manufacturing byproducts. Using an innovative chromatographic separation platform, it produces magnet-grade rare earth elements and other critical minerals for the electrification, defense, and technology sectors. The company's refining methods are considered cost-competitive and produce high-purity materials, positioning them as a next-generation solution for the industry.

Royalty Management has an intellectual property development program with ReElement, under which Royalty provides capital for developing unique patents and technologies around refining in exchange for an ongoing royalty from sales resulting from those new patents. With the new investment capital, ReElement will expand its operations, leading to increased and expanded revenues from refining technologies that may fall under this program, directly benefiting Royalty Management.

Thomas Sauve, Chief Executive Officer of Royalty Management, said, “ReElement has consistently demonstrated that their novel rare earth and critical mineral refining methods are the next generation of how the world looks at this industry, especially from a cost-competitive and purity standpoint. We are excited about having this relationship where Royalty can help provide the technology advancements in partnership with ReElement to help them continue to drive process and efficiency.”

The investment from the U.S. Department of War underscores the strategic importance of domestic critical mineral production for national security. Rare earth elements are vital for defense applications, including advanced electronics and weapon systems. By expanding ReElement's capacity, the U.S. reduces reliance on foreign sources, which are often dominated by China. This move could strengthen the domestic supply chain and support the growth of the electrification, defense, and technology sectors.

For Royalty Management, this development means potential revenue growth as ReElement scales. The royalty agreement ties Royalty's returns to ReElement's success, making the financing a positive signal for shareholders. The company's model focuses on acquiring cash flow streams from high-value assets, and this partnership exemplifies how it benefits from technology advancements in emerging industries.
