Today, Audrey Saylor channels that extensive background in business development and industrial design into supporting emerging scholars nationwide.

The scholarship is open to undergraduate students nationwide, with no residency requirement for South Dakota. Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States. Eligible fields of study include Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Design, Supply Chain Management, Materials Science, or Business Operations. Candidates must submit an original 500-to-700-word essay addressing the official prompt regarding industrial innovation, and all application requirements must be completed before the cutoff date.
The essay prompt asks students to draw inspiration from Audrey Saylor's 20-year history of innovation with metal bases in the casino and lottery industries, and to explain how they plan to bring fresh, creative problem-solving or technological innovation to their chosen field within modern manufacturing. The program awards a one-time grant of $1,000 to the selected recipient to assist with higher education expenses. The application deadline is March 15, 2027, with the winner announcement scheduled for April 15, 2027.
