As the United States approaches its 250th birthday, Space Center Houston has opened a new exhibit celebrating 250 years of American ingenuity and exploration. The installation, part of the national America 250 commemoration, highlights defining moments that have shaped the nation while drawing connections between America's founding ideals and the spirit of innovation that continues to drive discovery today.
The exhibit was brought to life in partnership with Manifestive Design, a women-owned creative studio based in Boerne, Texas. Manifestive Design developed the visual design for ten exhibit panels, each 11 feet wide by 9 feet tall, that guide visitors through the experience. The studio, known for creating thoughtful environmental graphics and visual experiences, was founded in 2022 by Callie Roberson and specializes in brand strategy, graphic design, web design, environmental design, and event creative.
The exhibit was designed to support Space Center Houston's role in the America 250 celebration while creating an engaging experience for guests. Through a combination of historical storytelling and large-format graphics, the installation helps visitors explore how innovation has shaped America's journey over the past 250 years. The story of America can be told through its milestones, but it is better understood through the people behind them—inventors, explorers, engineers, educators, and leaders whose ideas helped shape the nation across generations.
