SS Innovations Reports Record Q2 Revenue as SSi Mantra Robotic Surgery Platform Expands Globally

SS Innovations International (NASDAQ: SSII), a developer of innovative surgical robotic technologies, reported record second-quarter revenue of $13.9 million, a 39.4% increase from $10.0 million in the same period last year, as demand for its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system continues to grow. The company also reported a 20.0% increase in gross profit to $7.1 million, though gross margin declined to 50.9% from 59.1% in the year-earlier quarter.

For the first half of 2026, revenue reached $25.0 million, up 65.6% from $15.1 million in the first half of 2025. Gross profit increased 77.5% to $12.4 million, with an improved gross margin compared to the first half of the prior year. The revenue growth underscores the company's momentum as it expands the footprint of its SSi Mantra system, which is designed to make robotic surgery more accessible globally.

The company installed 30 SSi Mantra systems during the second quarter, a 30.4% increase, bringing the total installed base to 224 systems across 12 countries. Cumulative surgeries performed using the system reached 12,272, highlighting the clinical adoption and trust in the technology. System installations remain the primary commercial growth driver, according to the company.

Looking ahead, SS Innovations is targeting significant regulatory milestones that could serve as important catalysts. The company aims to obtain FDA clearance in the United States by the first quarter of 2027 and EU CE marking by the end of 2026. Achieving these regulatory approvals would open access to two of the world's largest healthcare markets, potentially accelerating adoption and revenue growth.

The company's telesurgery achievements are also extending the clinical profile of SSi Mantra, demonstrating its capabilities beyond traditional operating rooms. Telesurgery allows surgeons to operate remotely, which could expand access to specialized surgical care in underserved areas.

This strong financial performance and strategic regulatory progress are significant for the surgical robotics industry and healthcare providers. The expansion of SSi Mantra installations reflects a growing trend toward robotic-assisted surgery, which offers potential benefits such as greater precision, smaller incisions, and faster recovery times for patients. For investors, the company's revenue growth and upcoming regulatory milestones could influence market positioning and financial outlook.

As SS Innovations continues to scale its operations and pursue regulatory approvals, the impact of its SSi Mantra platform may be felt across healthcare systems, potentially improving surgical outcomes and broadening access to advanced technology. The company's progress will be closely watched by industry stakeholders as it moves toward key regulatory decisions.
