The contest, which has been an annual event since 2013, emphasizes authenticity and originality. Submissions must be original works written in English, ranging between 500 and 700 words, and follow MLA formatting guidelines. The organization has explicitly stated that AI-generated content and plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
Prize distribution will recognize three winners, with the first-place essay earning $1,500, the second-place submission receiving $1,000, and the third-place entry awarded $500.
