TES TEC, a pioneer in the intelligent touch display device sector, has announced a significant expansion of its manufacturing footprint in Thailand, elevating its total investment to $34.3 million. This strategic move underscores the company's response to the escalating global demand for advanced touch display technologies and its dedication to sustainable and efficient production practices.
The expansion includes the addition of new production lines, such as Monitor/AIO, panel PC, and lamination lines, set to commence operations by March 2026. This development not only signifies TES TEC's largest foreign direct investment this year but also its confidence in Thailand's manufacturing ecosystem, particularly within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), known for its strategic location and robust infrastructure.
With the Phase I facility already operational, producing up to 13,000 units monthly, the Phase II expansion aims to double the assembly capacity to 60,000 units per month per shift. This scale-up is expected to create around 700 local jobs, contributing significantly to the regional economy and reinforcing TES TEC's position in the global market.
Moreover, the new facility will incorporate cutting-edge technologies like an intelligent factory monitoring system and solar panels, aligning with TES TEC's sustainability goals. These innovations are designed to optimize operational efficiency and reduce the environmental impact, showcasing the company's forward-thinking approach to manufacturing.
Kevin Lee, TES TEC CEO, emphasized the expansion as a testament to the company's commitment to meeting global demand and enhancing customer support worldwide. By leveraging its manufacturing bases in China, Taiwan, and now Thailand, TES TEC is well-positioned to navigate the complexities of international trade and maintain its leadership in the intelligent touch display device market.
This investment not only marks a pivotal moment for TES TEC but also highlights the importance of Thailand as a key player in the global manufacturing landscape. The project's focus on technology, sustainability, and job creation reflects the broader industry trends towards innovation and environmental responsibility, setting a benchmark for future developments in the sector.
