The Mommy Archives is set to bring New York City families together for an afternoon of dancing, connection, and philanthropy, with a Family Dance Party scheduled for Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 3 to 6 PM at Moxy Williamsburg. The event aims to raise funds for Single Moms of Brooklyn while also generating a separate product donation from family brand Nuna to the nonprofit Room to Grow, according to the organization.
More than 200 NYC parents and children are expected to attend the gathering at Bar Bedford Garden, where the afternoon will feature a DJ, photo booth, face painting, crafts, glitter tattoos, games, and other family-friendly activities. Net proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Single Moms of Brooklyn, a local initiative that empowers and supports single mothers by providing emotional support, community, and resources. In addition, Nuna will donate $5,000 worth of products to Room to Grow, a nonprofit working with families experiencing poverty during the critical first three years of a child's life.
The event reflects The Mommy Archives' broader mission of building community for NYC parents while creating opportunities to support organizations serving families across the city. Founded by Jules Ferdowsi, The Mommy Archives connects more than 4,400 NYC families through Instagram, WhatsApp, and its newsletter, and hosts free community events, family programming, and partnerships aimed at making NYC parenting feel more connected and less isolating.
Ferdowsi said the event was designed to be more than just a fun afternoon for families. "Community is at the heart of everything we do at The Mommy Archives, and I know firsthand how important it is for parents to have a community they can turn to," Ferdowsi said. "It was important to me that bringing families together could also directly support other parents and children. Single Moms of Brooklyn is especially meaningful to me personally as a member of the organization, and I'm excited to be able to give back to a community that has meant so much to me."
The dual-beneficiary structure extends the event's impact beyond those attending. While ticket sales support Single Moms of Brooklyn, Nuna's product donation to Room to Grow will assist families in poverty, highlighting a collaborative approach to addressing needs across the city. Moxy Williamsburg is supporting the event as its venue partner, welcoming families to its Bar Bedford Garden for the afternoon.

The Family Dance Party underscores the growing role of community-driven events in addressing family needs, particularly for single mothers and families experiencing poverty. By combining a celebratory gathering with tangible support for local organizations, The Mommy Archives aims to demonstrate how collective action can foster both joy and meaningful change for NYC families.
