The ProMedia Group Hires Troy Fernandez as Project Manager to Support Expansion

The ProMedia Group (PMG), a Florida audiovisual and technology integration solutions provider, has announced the addition of Troy Fernandez as Project Manager. The move comes as the company continues to expand its national footprint and services, particularly in the sports and stadium technology sector.

Fernandez brings more than two decades of global program and project leadership experience, having managed large-scale design and construction initiatives across multiple continents. His portfolio spans residential, commercial, and industrial environments, making him a strong asset for PMG's continued growth.

Prior to joining PMG, Fernandez held multiple leadership roles at Watchtower in Tuxedo Park, New York. As Program Manager, he oversaw a global portfolio of active projects across 30 international offices, aligning execution with organizational strategy and executive priorities. As Global Design Director, he led the development of design standards across 84 international branches and mentored high-performing teams. Earlier in his career, he managed multi-site projects throughout the Americas, maintaining control over scope, schedule, and budget while delivering complex projects from concept through commissioning.

His experience also includes 15 years with AECOM in New York, where he contributed to major infrastructure and transportation projects, including work with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the Transportation Security Administration, and the World Trade Center PATH Terminal.

Fernandez was drawn to PMG by the opportunity to expand into new types of facilities and technologies. “PMG is involved in a number of exciting projects, especially in the sports and stadium space,” he said. “I’ve spent my career managing residential and commercial work, but this is a chance to be part of something different — to get more hands-on and be on the other side of the process, especially in AV and broadcast environments.”

His approach to project delivery is rooted in collaboration. “No matter the size of the project, the fundamentals are the same,” he explained. “Surround yourself with qualified people, work as a team, and keep everyone aligned toward the end goal. That’s what drives consistent, high-quality results.”

With a strong background in design and construction, Fernandez brings a perspective that supports alignment across teams. He understands how to bridge gaps and keep projects moving efficiently. “I’ve been in their shoes before, so I know how to work alongside designers and help keep everything on track,” he said.

His leadership philosophy emphasizes planning, adaptability, and transparency. “You need a solid plan, but you also need to be flexible when things change,” he added. “Staying adaptable while keeping the end goal in focus is critical.”

As he steps into his role at PMG, Fernandez will focus on strengthening client relationships and ensuring seamless project execution. “Clients need to feel heard and informed at every stage,” he said. “Being proactive — even when challenges come up — builds trust and leads to better outcomes.”

“Adding someone with this level of global experience and leadership strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients,” said Ken Avis, CEO of The ProMedia Group. “His expertise in managing complex, multi-site projects aligns perfectly with our commitment to excellence and continued growth.”

In his new role, Fernandez will oversee AV integration projects from design through installation, supporting PMG’s continued expansion and commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance solutions. The addition of Troy Fernandez reflects PMG’s ongoing investment in top-tier talent as the company continues to grow its services and geographic reach.
