The Trauma Resource Institute (TRI) will host its first annual international conference and celebrate its 20th anniversary from October 2–4, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Claremont in Claremont, California. The conference will be available both in person and virtually, welcoming participants from around the world. The event underscores TRI's growing global reach and the increasing demand for trauma-informed and resiliency-focused practices.
Guided by the theme “Rooted in Well-Being, Planted in Community, Cultivated by Hope,” the conference will bring together TRI's diverse global community of natural leaders, educators, practitioners, researchers, community partners, and individuals interested in resilience-based work. No previous TRI training or experience is required to attend, making the event accessible to longtime members, trained practitioners, and those discovering TRI for the first time.
TRI's international network now extends across all 50 U.S. states and more than 77 countries, according to the organization. This milestone gathering will provide an opportunity for the global community to reflect on two decades of impact, deepen connections, and explore new possibilities for expanding trauma-informed and resiliency-focused work worldwide.
Over the three-day gathering, participants will explore the application of the Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® and Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM)® across different communities, professional settings, and populations. Programming will include presentations, discussions, interactive learning opportunities, and practical tools that participants can incorporate into their own work and communities. Conference experiences and conversations will explore real-world applications of CRM and TRM, emerging research and innovative resiliency-focused programs, community-based initiatives addressing trauma and chronic stress, practical tools and interactive learning opportunities, and meaningful collaboration with practitioners, educators, and partners from around the world.
Both CRM and TRM are designed to help people understand the biological effects of trauma and chronic stress while learning skills that support balance and well-being. The conference will highlight how these models are being used to strengthen individuals and communities in culturally responsive and accessible ways.
In addition to the main conference programming, TRI will hold a 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, October 3. Separate tickets are required for the gala. The conference will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Claremont, located at 555 W. Foothill Blvd., Claremont, CA 91711. Virtual attendees will be able to access conference programming through the Whova online platform.
The deadline for in-person registration is September 10, 2026. Virtual registration will remain open through September 30, 2026. For conference information and registration, visit https://www.traumaresourceinstitute.com/tri-2026-conference.
