TRON DAO has announced the winners of HackaTRON Season 6, marking the culmination of an event that attracted over a thousand participants. The hackathon, co-hosted by HTX DAO, BTTC, and JustLend DAO, showcased a wide array of pioneering projects within the TRON ecosystem. Winners were awarded a share of a $650,000 prize pool, distributed in USDT equivalent in TRX.
The competition featured several tracks: Web3, DeFi, Artistry, Integration, and Builder. Each track had its own set of winners, with first-place winners receiving $25,000, second-place winners $15,000, third-place winners $10,000, fourth-place winners $8,000, and fifth-place winners $6,000. Community forum-selected winners also received prizes, with the top winner securing $7,000.
In the Web3 track, BlinkAI by Blink took first place, recognized for advancing the transition from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0 with innovative DAO tools and Dapps. Transatron and Toqen Factory followed in second and third places, respectively. The DeFi track highlighted projects transforming finance through decentralization, with HandShake by HandShakers winning first place, followed by GuessThePrice and ChickenSwap/Bot.
The Artistry track, focusing on creative projects within the GameFi, NFT, and Metaverse spaces, saw Unclaimed - Fall of Mankind by Unclaimed take first place. TOBA and STAR-EX secured the second and third spots. The Integration track, which encouraged the incorporation of existing TRON/BTTC protocols into new applications, was led by JustMoney Explorer by JustMoney, with CodeHive and AnkerPay Tron also being recognized.
The Builder track honored teams with previous hackathon experience aiming to enhance their projects. Block Fabric by BlockFabric won first place, followed by Vaulidity (formerly Solide) and USTX BOND. Additionally, special prizes were awarded for project engagement, determination, and ecosystem participation, celebrating projects like Jumble Dude and QuestArcade.
As HackaTRON Season 6 concludes, TRON DAO is preparing for Season 7, promising even more dynamic participation with new sponsors, judges, and co-hosts. The tracks for the upcoming season will remain the same, covering Web3, DeFi, Artistry, Builder, and Integration.
HackaTRON Season 7 will commence with a submission period from July 25 to October 8, 2024. This will be followed by a pre-selection period from October 9 to October 23, with judging and community voting taking place from October 24 to October 31. The qualifiers and winners will be announced on November 13.
