When Danny Trussell started his remodeling business in September 2006 with a partner and a truck, operating out of his family's garage, his guiding principle was simple: a house isn't really finished until it feels like home. What began as a remodeling-only operation has expanded significantly over two decades. In 2008, the company opened its own granite fabrication shop, bringing stonework in-house instead of outsourcing. It moved to its current Albuquerque location in 2015, and added cabinet lines in 2017. Today, Trussell's offers a full slate of home improvement services, including kitchen and bathroom remodeling, cabinets, granite and quartz countertops, flooring, roofing and other residential upgrades, all under one roof.
"Trussell's has always been more than a business to us. It's been a huge part of our family's life for the past 20 years. Our kids basically grew up in this business. A lot of our employees have been with us so long they feel like family at this point, and honestly, plenty of our customers have turned into friends too. That's what makes reaching 20 years so special," Danny Trussell said.
A key differentiator for the company is its staffing model. Most of the work inside a customer's home is performed by Trussell's own employees, not rotating subcontractors. This matters on larger projects involving several stages and trades, as homeowners see the same faces throughout instead of a new crew each week, with one team responsible for the entire job. Danny and Christy Trussell currently own the company. Trussell's Transformations holds a New Mexico GB-98 general contractor's license and is a member of both the Home Builders Association of Central New Mexico and the Natural Stone Institute, credentials that reflect two decades of standing behind the work.

The showroom features rows of cabinet styles and door profiles, slabs of granite and quartz, hardware finishes for side-by-side comparison, and flooring samples.
