Verizon Announces Largest Free Ticket Drop for FIFA World Cup 2026, Featuring David Beckham Campaign

NEW YORK — With the FIFA World Cup 2026 just weeks away, Verizon announced its largest free ticket giveaway for customers, releasing over 2,500 tickets across all 64 matches in every U.S. host city. The telecom giant, which serves as the Official Telecommunication Services Sponsor for the tournament, also debuted a new commercial featuring David Beckham to promote what it calls “Ultimate Access” to the event.

The ticket drop is scheduled for June 1 at 3:00 PM ET for East Coast cities, 2:00 PM CT for Central Time cities, and 12:00 PM PT for Pacific Time cities. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis exclusively through Verizon Access in the My Verizon app. To ensure local fans benefit, accounts can only claim tickets to matches within 150 miles of their home address. Among the available tickets are hundreds of “Golden Tickets” for pitchside access.

“At Verizon, we’re obsessed with giving our customers access and experiences that are above and beyond,” said Leslie Berland, Chief Marketing Officer, Verizon. “This is our biggest FIFA World Cup ticket drop yet for the most highly anticipated sporting event.” The drop covers matches in all 11 U.S. host cities, including Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Kansas City, Dallas, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, New York/New Jersey, Miami, and Philadelphia.

In addition to the ticket giveaway, Verizon is enhancing the fan experience with its FOX One perk. New Verizon Home Internet customers can get three months of FOX One on us, while myPlan subscribers can add the perk for $15/month, saving nearly $5 off the standard retail price. FOX One provides live and on-demand sports, news, and entertainment content.

This announcement underscores Verizon’s broader investment in the tournament, as it deploys advanced 5G and fiber technology across host stadiums and Fan Festivals. The company is building the digital backbone for the event, aiming to deliver massive connectivity upgrades. Learn more about Verizon’s role in powering the World Cup here.

The June 1 ticket drop represents the last chance for customers to secure free seats before the tournament begins. With over 2,500 tickets available, it is Verizon’s largest giveaway yet, reflecting the company’s commitment to providing exclusive access for its customers. The inclusion of Golden Tickets for pitchside viewing adds a premium incentive, while the local mileage restriction ensures that tickets reach fans near the host cities.

For Verizon, the World Cup sponsorship is a key part of its strategy to attract and retain customers by offering unique experiences. The company’s emphasis on connectivity improvements also highlights the growing importance of reliable networks for large-scale events. As the tournament approaches, this ticket drop is likely to generate significant interest among soccer fans and Verizon subscribers alike.
