SHIB, a leading decentralized finance (DeFi) cryptocurrency ecosystem, has announced the opening of a second franchise location for Welly, an Italian restaurant that leverages the Shibarium blockchain. This expansion marks a significant milestone for Welly as it continues to grow its presence as an emerging fast food empire.
The new location in Reggio Emilia is Welly's most expansive concept yet, featuring 40 seats for indoor dining and Welly to-go options. Initially launched as a food stand in Naples, Welly has also recently added food catering services at various events. Both the Naples and Reggio Emilia locations boast stunning store layouts designed by the Spanish architecture studio MASQUESPACIO, known for its award-winning designs. These layouts include curved walls, spacious dining areas, and neon light boxes showcasing popular Welly NFT digital characters.
The franchisees of the Reggio Emilia location, Federico Foroni and Enrico Damiani, are enthusiastic members of both the Welly and SHIB communities. The opening will be celebrated with a local community event featuring music on June 15, 2024.

The current Welly menu features burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, and fries (or patatine fritte), with vegan and gluten-free options to be added soon.
