The City of Wilmington has recently completed the implementation of Systems & Software's enQ CIS platform, a move that signifies a major leap forward in the management of municipal finances and services. This platform has unified utility billing, property tax, licenses, and inspection fees into a single, modern system, achieving the city's first-ever on-time property tax distribution and realizing measurable return on investment.
J. Brett Taylor, Director of Finance for the City of Wilmington, expressed high satisfaction with the platform's performance, highlighting its intuitive design and the ease with which customers and agents can access property information and billing details. The system's automation features are expected to reduce operational steps, enhance data accuracy, and improve transparency, marking a significant improvement over the previous MUNIS platform.
Adam Smith, Executive Vice President at Systems & Software, emphasized the company's commitment to supporting Wilmington's goals of enhancing the customer experience. The enQ CIS platform has been instrumental in streamlining operations and offering residents greater convenience and transparency in municipal services.
A key feature of the project was its seamless integration with Paymentus, enabling modern payment methods such as Venmo, Walmart Pay, and autopay, alongside text-to-pay and email/SMS billing reminders. This integration, coupled with the successful migration of financial and account data from the legacy system, was achieved with minimal disruption to residents, showcasing the platform's efficiency and reliability.
