Wire Media Group Expands Reach to Over 50 Million U.S. Sports Fans in 2024

Wire Industries, Inc., a technology and media company that operates WagerWire, FantasyWire, and Wire Media Group (WMG), announced a significant milestone for WMG. In the past year, WMG content has been viewed over 250 million times and has appeared in major outlets like the New York Post, USA Today, Bleacher Report, ESPN, Bloomberg, and CNBC. This exposure has collectively reached over 50 million sports fans in the first half of 2024.

WMG's rapid rise in popularity has been fueled by a community of sports fans and bettors who engage with viral stories, daily sports and betting news, and pop culture content. Known as "The Wire," this content collective includes top-tier creators and networks as well as original content. Notable partners include Betr Media, Pro League Network, The Hammer Betting Network, East Coast Sports Investors, WalterPicks, and The Gaming Juice.

The WMG content technology team, led by Allan Valle, has developed an AI content aggregation and amplification system. This advanced technology clips and syndicates partner content across various mediums and channels, analyzing trends and cross-targeting audiences to increase discoverability. The system breaks partner networks and creators out of their algorithmic silos, resulting in broader reach and engagement.

Beyond engaging content, WagerWire’s free betting tools, including their Bet Value Calculator and Bet Graphs, receive thousands of daily hits, further driving user interaction.

Travis Geiger, Co-founder and Chief Experience Officer of Wire Industries, emphasized the company's commitment to honest and creative content. “We create content by fans, for fans, and The Wire Media Group was engineered to have something to offer to everyone,” he said. Geiger criticized companies that profit from players' losses while pretending to care about responsible betting, stating, “People are smart enough to see through the shill. The Wire doesn’t have a hidden agenda. We answer to our community and no one else.”

The Wire Media Group also oversees the company's affiliate marketing division, The Sports Influencers, which has seen remarkable growth in the first half of 2024. The program has grown 378% since the start of the year, with a 40% month-over-month increase. Affiliate deals have been established with FanDuel, Caesars, BetMGM, and Betr, among others. Operating in 23 states, Washington DC, Ontario, and Puerto Rico, The Sports Influencers continue to expand their reach.

WagerWire has also garnered industry recognition, winning the EGR Rising Star of the Year award and being shortlisted for multiple accolades, including Rising Star of the Year and Affiliate of the Year at SBC North America. Additionally, WagerWire was named to Business Insider’s list of 25 promising sports startups to watch. FantasyWire was shortlisted as Innovation of the Year by the Fantasy Sports and Gaming Association (FSGA).

WagerWire made its debut in 2022 with a high-profile seed round led by Miami Marlins co-owner Roger Ehrenberg, including investments from Betr/Simplebet Founder Joey Levy’s 305 Ventures, NBA All-Star Richard Jefferson, famed 'Big Short' investor Danny Moses, and sports executive David Meltzer.
