Woodbridge Pacific Group Earns Seven SoCal MAME Award Nominations for Desert Homes

Woodbridge Pacific Group (WPG) has been named a finalist in seven categories for the 2026 SoCal MAME Awards, recognizing its new home designs in California's desert regions. The nominations, announced by the awards program, honor architectural design and interior merchandising for three distinct home collections: Plans Two and Four at Solace in Miralon, the Solace architectural series, and the Daybreak design at Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community in Rancho Mirage.

The SoCal MAME Awards, one of the homebuilding industry's most prestigious competitions, received entries in approximately 30 categories for 2026, celebrating achievements in design, planning, and development. The judges specifically recognized Plans Two and Four at Solace for Architectural Design, while the entire Solace series earned a nomination as an Architectural Series. The Daybreak design at Cotino was also nominated for Architectural Design. Additionally, all three designs were honored for Interior Merchandising of their model homes.

Each nominated design remains eligible for the coveted Home of the Year designation, which will be announced at the awards ceremony on November 14 at the Westin Resort in Anaheim. The recognition underscores the quality of collaboration between WPG and its creative partners. Hannouche Architects of Newport Beach, California, served as the architectural firm for all nominated homes, while Chameleon Design of Costa Mesa, California, created the interior merchandising for each model home.

Lisa Parrish, Judging Chair for the SoCal MAME Awards, praised the team's work: "WPG and its team have earned a fine reputation for notable attention to detail, and these superb desert homes show us why this design/development team is so celebrated." The nominations reflect a commitment to thoughtful design that resonates with buyers seeking homes in desirable desert locations.

WPG President Andrew Murphy expressed gratitude for the recognition and the partnerships behind it. "We are delighted with these nominations and delighted that Hannouche and Chameleon are an important part of these prestigious honors," he said. "All of us strive to create new homes with persuasive, versatile designs, and to place these homes in locations that enrich the desert lifestyle for a wide variety of move-up and empty nester shoppers." Murphy also noted that "Solace and Daybreak epitomize the excellence our shoppers expect from WPG neighborhoods. We are proud to see these desert homes take their place among our winning collections."

The news matters to homebuyers and industry observers because it signals validation of WPG's design approach in a competitive market. The SoCal MAME Awards spotlight companies that push boundaries in residential design, and WPG's multiple nominations suggest its homes are setting benchmarks for desert living. For potential buyers, the recognition offers assurance of quality and attention to detail. For the industry, it highlights the importance of strong collaborations between builders, architects, and interior designers in creating appealing communities.
