Wytec International has secured a significant multi-state government Master Services Agreement (MSA) through the TXShare Cooperative Purchasing Program, positioning its advanced AI gunshot detection technology for widespread deployment across public sector organizations.
The contract enables Wytec to offer its smart sensor technology to an expansive network of potential clients, including 170 US cities, 50 counties, and over 40 special districts such as transit authorities, water utility boards, police departments, school districts, and hospitals. This comprehensive coverage highlights the technology's potential to enhance public safety infrastructure.
The company's gunshot detection system stands out due to its exceptional technological capabilities. Through rigorous testing, Wytec's embedded artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms have demonstrated remarkable accuracy, achieving 94% true positive and 95% true negative rates. These metrics represent one of the most precise gunshot detection systems currently available in the market.
To strengthen its technological offering, Wytec has partnered with two specialized companies: Trabus Technologies and Lemko Corporation. Trabus Technologies, a minority-owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, has developed embedded AI/ML software for threat detection. Lemko Corporation provides the secure wireless backbone using advanced 4G and 5G wireless technologies.
The technology's potential impact extends beyond immediate safety applications. By offering a no-cost Proof of Concept demonstration to TXShare members, Wytec is positioning itself to showcase the practical implementation of its advanced sensor technology. The company's strategic approach includes plans to integrate its technology with chipset manufacturers, potentially revolutionizing commercial telecom operator capabilities.
With a background in telecommunications and a focus on public safety solutions, Wytec has previously been recognized as a top tech startup in San Antonio. The company's current MSA represents a significant milestone in its technological development and market expansion strategy.
As public safety continues to be a critical concern for municipalities and institutions, Wytec's AI-powered gunshot detection technology offers a sophisticated, data-driven approach to threat detection and response. The technology's high accuracy and comprehensive coverage suggest potential long-term implications for urban safety management and emergency response protocols.
