Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. (ABH) has opened a new outpatient office in Hagerstown, Maryland, extending its mental health services into Washington County for the first time. The facility, located at 265 Mill Street, Suite 800, began seeing patients on September 1, 2026, according to a company announcement.
This expansion brings ABH's comprehensive mental health services to a county that previously lacked direct access to the organization's care model. With the new office, ABH now serves individuals, youth, and families across six Maryland counties: Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Montgomery, Prince George's, and Washington. The move underscores ABH's commitment to meeting clients where they are, particularly in underserved regions.

The new Hagerstown office offers a range of services, including onsite and offsite individual and family therapy, school-based therapy, telehealth counseling, and psychiatric evaluation and medication management. ABH also plans to introduce its Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) to the Hagerstown location once Maryland's PRP moratorium is lifted, expected in 2027. This addition would further enhance the continuum of care available to Washington County residents, providing critical support for those with serious mental illness.
The expansion is particularly significant given the growing demand for mental health services nationwide. In Maryland, access to behavioral health care has been a persistent challenge, especially in rural and semi-rural counties like Washington.
