AI-Powered Golf Club G·GRIP Pro Launches on Kickstarter to Reveal Why Golfers Miss

Golfers have long struggled to improve their swings despite countless hours of practice and lessons. The core reason, according to SG Lab, is that key elements such as hand pressure and subtle club movements are invisible to the naked eye. Existing analysis devices have been limited to result-based data like distance and direction, failing to explain why those results occur. SG Lab's new product, the G·GRIP Pro, aims to change that by analyzing the cause rather than just the result.

The AI-powered intelligent golf club G·GRIP Pro is set to launch worldwide through the global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. It is the world's first AI golf club with built-in sensors capable of analyzing grip pressure in real time, and it has already gained recognition for its technology, securing two CES 2025 Innovation Awards and a CES 2026 Award. This matters because it represents a shift from traditional feel-based instruction to data-driven training, potentially transforming how golfers at all levels understand and improve their swings.

Unlike existing devices that require separate cameras or wearable sensors, the G·GRIP Pro integrates all sensors inside the club itself. It collects a wide array of swing data, including finger-by-finger pressure changes, swing path, face angle, and tempo. From address to impact, it precisely visualizes changes in hand pressure and swing flow. By correlating grip pressure changes with swing path and face angle, it enables more fundamental swing correction. Measured data is stored as "Swing DNA," allowing golfers to accumulate personal swing patterns and compare them against their best swings.

The AI-based coaching system provides intuitive sentence-style feedback, helping users easily understand both the cause of issues and ways to improve. Real-time feedback through haptic and earbud support allows immediate correction during play, while maintaining a weight and balance similar to a conventional golf club for a natural feel. In addition, on-device data storage, IP68 waterproof and dustproof protection, and a long-lasting battery make it highly practical for use in real field environments.

G·GRIP Pro was developed based on the long coaching experience of founder Eddie Cho, a former PGA professional. The company is currently conducting technical validation in collaboration with multiple PGA professionals and global golf academies, while pursuing future market expansion with the ultimate goal of standardizing golf data. An SG Lab representative stated, "G·GRIP Pro is not simply a swing measurement device, but a data-driven golf training tool that helps golfers accurately understand and repeatedly refine their swings," adding, "Through this Kickstarter launch, we aim to introduce a new data-driven golf experience to golfers around the world."

The G·GRIP Pro will be available for backing on the Kickstarter website starting October 6th, 2026, with special benefits planned for launch day backers. For the golf industry, this launch signals a growing trend toward AI and sensor-based training tools that could reshape how players practice and how instructors coach. For golfers, it offers a new way to diagnose and correct swing faults that were previously hidden, potentially accelerating improvement and making practice more effective.
