The Supervisory Board of AMAG Austria Metall AG has extended the contract of Chief Sales Officer Victor Breguncci until May 31, 2029, signaling continued stability in corporate leadership during a period of significant industry challenges. The decision, made during the board's September 17, 2025 meeting, underscores the strategic importance of sales operations for the Austrian aluminum manufacturer.
Supervisory Board Chairman Alessandro Dazza emphasized that the extension demonstrates AMAG's commitment to supporting sales efforts and maintaining leadership continuity. Dazza noted that Breguncci has played a key role in strengthening customer focus and commercial excellence while shaping the future sales organization over recent years. This continuity is particularly significant given the current challenges facing the European aluminum industry, which faces supply chain disruptions, energy cost pressures, and increasing competition.
Breguncci, a Brazil native who has served on AMAG's Management Board since June 2019, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him. He stated his commitment to working with his team and fellow board members to lead AMAG as a reliable partner for high-quality aluminum solutions. His responsibilities include Sales, Strategic Sales Development, Supply Chain Management, and Market Monitoring and Development.
The management structure at AMAG consists of CEO and COO Dr. Helmut Kaufmann, CFO Claudia Trampitsch, and CSO Victor Breguncci since January 1, 2024. The independent representation of sales on the Management Board ensures that customer-focused topics remain a long-term priority addressed at the highest decision-making level. This organizational structure highlights the critical role sales play in AMAG's strategic direction, particularly as the company navigates industry challenges while serving diverse sectors including aircraft, automotive, sporting goods, and construction industries.
The contract extension matters because leadership stability during industry challenges can significantly impact a company's ability to maintain customer relationships, navigate market fluctuations, and execute long-term strategies. For AMAG, which operates in multiple high-value industries requiring reliable aluminum supply, consistent sales leadership ensures business continuity and reinforces the company's position as a premium supplier. The decision also signals confidence in current management's ability to address European aluminum industry challenges while maintaining AMAG's market position.
