Branicks Creditors Approve Restructuring with 99% Vote, Extending Maturities to 2030

Creditors of Branicks Group AG have overwhelmingly approved a restructuring of the company’s liabilities, with 99% of votes cast in favor of the plan, the company announced. The vote, which covers a 400 million euro corporate bond originally due in 2026, also endorses the financial restructuring plan developed by the company. The restructuring sets new maturity dates for a total of 375 million euros of debt at September 30, 2030, and for an additional 220 million euros at September 30, 2028, covering liabilities from bonds, promissory note loans, and registered bonds.

“Our creditors’ vote is a sign of confidence in our restructuring plan. With the time we've gained, we can now refocus fully on our business and use our resources and expertise to capitalize on opportunities in what remains a challenging market for us,” said Josef Schultheis, Chief Restructuring Officer at Branicks Group AG. The approval marks a critical step for the German real estate specialist, which has been working to stabilize its finances amid difficult market conditions.

The company said that following the creditors’ decision, a number of technical requirements for implementation still need to be clarified in the coming weeks. The goal is for the restructuring plan to take effect by the end of the 2026 fiscal year, or by March 31, 2027, at the latest. The extension of maturities provides Branicks with significant breathing room to execute its business strategy without the immediate pressure of looming debt repayments.

In a related move, Branicks also announced that it has terminated, by mutual agreement, consulting agreements with MDC Matthias Danne Consulting GmbH and BLACKLAKE Management Partners GmbH, whose managing directors are Supervisory Board members Dr. Matthias Danne and Dr. Johannes Conradi, respectively. Both firms have notified the company that they have each entered into service agreements with a company financed by the creditors. The termination of these consulting arrangements may be seen as a governance step to align interests as the restructuring progresses.

The implications of the vote are significant for stakeholders. For creditors, the 99% approval rate suggests strong support for the company’s plan and a willingness to extend maturities rather than force immediate repayment. For Branicks, the restructuring buys time to focus on its core business of office and logistics real estate. As of June 30, 2026, the company managed properties with a market value of 10.1 billion euros across its Commercial Portfolio and Institutional Business segments. The company is listed in the Prime Standard of the German Stock Exchange and is a signatory to the UN Global Compact and UN PRI network.

The restructuring plan’s effectiveness by the end of 2026 or early 2027 will be closely watched by investors and industry observers. For more details, visit www.branicks.com. The original release is available on www.newmediawire.com.
