Charbone Projects 155% Jump in Q2 2026 Gas Income, Bolstering Clean Hydrogen Growth

Charbone Corporation (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47), a vertically integrated industrial gases company, announced preliminary gas income for the second quarter of 2026 is expected to increase by 155% to $0.5 million, up from $0.2 million in the first quarter. This growth, driven by heightened demand for ultra-high purity (UHP) hydrogen and other strategic gases, signals a pivotal moment for the company as it scales its clean energy operations.

The preliminary figures, released on August 5, 2026, reflect a 100% increase in gas income for the first half of 2026, reaching $0.6 million compared to nil in the same period last year. Gas income encompasses revenues from hydrogen production and regional supply hubs for all industrial gases. The company attributes this growth to accelerated demand in both U.S. and Canadian markets, particularly for clean UHP hydrogen from its Sorel-Tracy plant in Phase 1A, as well as UHP helium and oxygen sourced through partners.

“Our team at CHARBONE is incredibly proud of the momentum we have built over the last quarter, which underscores our unwavering focus on long-term value creation,” said Benoit Veilleux, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. “Through our targeted efforts in North America, we are not only expanding our operational footprint but also reaffirming our promise to deliver impactful, high purity and sustainable gas results that benefit our shareholders and the broader community alike.”

This expansion comes as Charbone continues to enhance its full-stack platform, including distribution equipment, to support growing demand and anticipated future sales from new and existing customers. Operating expenses in Q2 are expected to remain comparable to Q1, indicating improved efficiency without significant cost increases.

The company plans to release full financial and operational results for the quarter on August 28, 2026, after market close, and will host a webinar on August 31 at 11:00 AM EDT to discuss results and milestones. Additionally, Charbone recently engaged IMPAQ Capital Inc. for investor relations services, with stock options granted under revised terms. The company remains focused on serving critical sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, data centers, pharmaceuticals, and aerospace, where UHP gases are essential for high-precision manufacturing.

This growth underscores the increasing importance of clean hydrogen and specialty gases in the transition to a lower-carbon economy, positioning Charbone to capitalize on the rising demand for reliable, decentralized supply solutions. With a modular approach and integrated storage and distribution network, the company is well-equipped to serve mid-tier industrial customers who often face supply challenges.

As Charbone continues to expand its footprint and revenue base, the positive momentum in Q2 2026 marks a significant step toward achieving long-term value creation for shareholders and supporting the broader adoption of clean industrial gases.
