Door Services Corporation, a member of the Horton Automatics family and a provider of commercial automatic door solutions, has announced the expansion of its Horton product offerings with two new systems: the upgraded Horton HD Storm™ sliding door system and the Horton Behavioral Health Profiler® ICU, a first-of-its-kind solution in the automatic door industry. These additions aim to meet the demands of high-wind environments and behavioral healthcare facilities, respectively.
The enhanced Horton HD Storm™ now delivers performance ratings of up to ±85 PSF, tested to Miami-Dade standards and carrying the North American Fenestration Standard (NAFS) Limited Water (LW) designation. This upgrade extends to larger openings through expanded HDXL size options. The system is available in single slide and bi-parting full breakout configurations, supporting panel weights up to 300 lbs. per sliding panel in bi-parting setups. A concealed belt drive with a 1/4 HP DC motor powers the system. Door Services Corporation offers installation and service for these hurricane-rated sliding door solutions. The Horton Behavioral Health Profiler® ICU is engineered to address critical safety needs in behavioral health environments, including preventing patient self-harm, staff harm, barricading, weaponization of door components, and entanglement of IV lines. Key features include anti-ligature design, anti-barricade functionality with emergency override, tamper-proof vision panels with optional controlled blinds, and mechanical self-closing operation. The system meets UL 1784, UL 325, ADA, FGI Guidelines, and Joint Commission standards. It is available in sizes up to 9' wide x 8' high and is suited for inpatient psychiatric hospitals, rehabilitation centers, emergency room behavioral health suites, and court-ordered evaluation facilities.
