Fitzroy Minerals Reports Wide Zones of Shallow Copper Mineralization at Buen Retiro Project in Chile

Fitzroy Minerals Inc. has released assay results from 15 drill holes at the Tenorita area of its Buen Retiro Copper Project in Copiapo, Chile, revealing wide zones of copper mineralization in leachable material close to the surface. The results underscore the project's potential for near-term development, as the company aims to complete the drill-out of Tenorita in August and achieve production by early 2028.

Drill hole BRT-DDH072 returned 111.9 meters at 0.97% copper from a depth of 21.1 meters, including 18.0 meters at 1.59% copper from 84 meters. Drill hole BRT-DDH070 intersected 147.7 meters at 0.41% copper from 26.3 meters, including 47.0 meters at 0.88% copper from 113 meters. These results, along with previously reported holes, confirm consistent shallow mineralization across approximately 300 meters east-west in the south-central portion of the Tenorita area.

Merlin Marr-Johnson, President and CEO of Fitzroy, stated: 'Buen Retiro continues to deliver excellent results and several of the fifteen drill holes reported today reflect wide zones of mineralization in leachable material close to surface. Note that the best drill hole reported today, drill hole #72, is to the east of drill hole #70, confirming consistent shallow mineralization for about 300 metres across the widest part of the Tenorita area.'

The company currently operates four drill rigs at Buen Retiro, including three diamond drill rigs and one reverse circulation rig. Drilling is ongoing with the aim of advancing Tenorita to Measured, Indicated, and Inferred resource categories for inclusion in a Pre-Feasibility Study. Fitzroy plans a total of 9,000 meters of drilling in 2026, with additional objectives to define resources elsewhere on the property and test new exploration targets.

Since February 2026, Fitzroy has completed 78 diamond drill holes totaling 13,036 meters. The company has also renamed key areas: the 1.7 km trend southwest of the historical Manto Negro open pit is now called Tenorita, while areas north and south of the pit are named Ortuzar and Nativo, respectively.

Drill hole BRT-DDH072 included three notable sub-intervals: 19 meters at 1.50% copper from 32 meters, 18 meters at 1.59% copper from 84 meters, and 18 meters at 1.91% copper from 111 meters. Drill hole BRT-DDH070 featured 47 meters at 0.88% copper from 113 meters and 27 meters at 1.20% copper from 133 meters.

Quality assurance and quality control procedures include insertion of blanks, pulp duplicates, and certified standards at a rate of about 12% of total samples. The company uses ALS-Patagonia laboratory in Copiapo for assaying, and no significant QA/QC issues were identified.
