Gold Basin Resources CEO Colin Smith has announced encouraging assay results from the initial reverse-circulation drill holes of the company's ongoing resource expansion and delineation campaign at the Gold Basin oxide gold project in Arizona. To date, five holes totaling 1,027 meters have been completed out of the planned 3,000-meter program, with further results expected in three weeks.
Smith highlighted that the assay results from the resource expansion drilling at the Stealth target are among the best oxide gold outcomes the project has seen. Notably, drill hole ST24-026 revealed 138.7 meters at 0.93 g/t Au from 30.5 meters, confirming the extension of a high-grade oxide gold plunge at depth. This zone remains open and will undergo further testing as the drill program progresses. Additionally, drill hole ST24-027 yielded 82.3 meters at 0.94 g/t Au from 36.6 meters.
These promising results validate Gold Basin Resources' strategy to expand the resource and delineate high-grade zones within the Gold Basin project. The ongoing drill campaign aims to better define the extent of mineralization and improve the overall resource estimate, setting the stage for future development. The company's commitment to advancing the project and unlocking its full potential is evident, as continued success in the drilling program could significantly enhance the project's prospects.
Smith emphasized the robust nature of the Stealth oxide gold system, noting that these initial results are on par with some of the best findings to date at the project. The confirmation of high-grade extensions at depth is particularly encouraging for the project's long-term viability and potential.
As Gold Basin Resources continues its drilling efforts, the positive initial results not only boost confidence in the project's potential but also underscore the importance of the ongoing resource expansion campaign. With further assay results anticipated soon, stakeholders and investors will be keenly watching the progress of this promising gold project in Arizona.
