Green Monke, an award-winning hemp-D9 beverage brand, has reported significant success with its Happy Sodas at the Pabst Theatre Group (PTG) venues in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Over the first six months of their partnership, Green Monke's products have dominated non-alcoholic beverage sales across PTG's five iconic venues, which include the Miller High Life Theatre, Riverside Theater, Pabst Theater, Turner Hall Ballroom, and Vivarium. These venues collectively host over 700 live events annually, attracting more than 7.4 million attendees.
The introduction of Green Monke Happy Sodas has marked a notable shift in beverage preferences among PTG's patrons, with non-alcoholic options now accounting for 10-13% of total beverage sales. Green Monke leads this category, capturing 69% of non-alcoholic sales at larger venues and between 52-62% at mid-sized and smaller venues. Gary Witt, president & CEO of PTG, highlighted the brand's role in meeting customer demand for non-alcoholic alternatives, especially as beer sales decline.
Beyond standalone sales, Green Monke and PTG have innovated with 'Green Monke HIGHBalls', a series of mixed functional non-alcoholic cocktails that blend the brand's hemp-infused sodas with complementary ingredients. This initiative has been well-received by both bartenders and patrons, further cementing Green Monke's position as a preferred alcohol alternative in live entertainment settings.
Looking forward, Green Monke is expanding its reach through hyper-local marketing initiatives and exploring opportunities to introduce its Happy Sodas to larger stadiums nationwide. The brand's successful pilot launch at EnMarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia, and its collaboration with the Oak View Group's Theater Alliance underscore its ambition to redefine social drinking experiences across diverse venues.
