Psychological horror film 'Answer the Question' has selected award-winning production designer Hojin Lee to craft its intricate visual landscape, bringing her extensive genre experience to a narrative centered on four university students trapped in a supernatural game at a psychic's bed and breakfast.
Lee, known for her work on acclaimed horror projects including the award-winning 'The Monkey's Paw', will be responsible for transforming a historic inn into a menacing supernatural environment. Her role involves meticulously designing set elements that contribute to the film's tension, including specialized props, atmospheric lighting, and period-specific details inspired by early 20th-century spiritualist movements.
The production design will be crucial in establishing the film's gothic aesthetic, with Lee focusing on creating spaces that function not just as backdrops, but as narrative elements that enhance the supernatural storytelling. Her approach involves treating the set itself as a character, using texture, aged interiors, and strategic design to build psychological tension.
Producer Kakia M. Amarh highlighted Lee's unique ability to make every set element contribute to narrative tension. Lee's previous work demonstrates her capability to create immersive environments that go beyond traditional set design, transforming physical spaces into psychological experiences.
The film's production is scheduled to begin pre-production in January 2026, with principal photography planned from May to July of the same year. Lee's involvement signals Largo Legend's commitment to innovative storytelling and high-quality genre filmmaking.
By integrating detailed production design with supernatural narrative elements, 'Answer the Question' aims to offer audiences a sophisticated horror experience that goes beyond conventional genre expectations. Lee's expertise suggests the film will deliver a visually rich and psychologically complex exploration of supernatural horror.
