The Latin Podcast Awards (LPA) has announced eleven new nominees for its 2025 edition, marking a significant moment in the recognition of Latino and Hispanic podcasting talent worldwide. Founded by Felix A. Montelara of the Audio Dice Network (ADN) Media Group, the LPA stands as the sole competition dedicated to honoring both Latino/Hispanic and non-Latino podcast creators who produce content in bilingual formats. This year's nominees span a diverse range of categories, including Health & Fitness, Religion & Spirituality, Leisure, Education, Comedy, True Crime, Society & Culture, and Kids & Family, showcasing the rich variety of topics explored by Latino podcasters.
Among the newly announced nominees are 'Sexo sin tabú' from the United States, focusing on Health & Fitness by Francis Mojica, and 'Sanguchito de salmón' from Argentina, delving into Religion & Spirituality by Sergio Badaloni. Costa Rica is well-represented with entries like 'Pura Vida Perspectives' in the Leisure category and 'Hablemos de Plata' in Education. The global reach of Latino podcasting is further highlighted by nominees from Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the Dominican Republic, covering genres from True Crime to Kids & Family.
The LPA's panel of international podcast content producers is currently in the process of evaluating these entries to select the winners, including the prestigious Latin Podcast Award of the Year for 2025. Winners will be awarded the 'Microphone Statue' trophy, symbolizing excellence in the podcasting community. This announcement not only celebrates the achievements of individual podcasters but also underscores the growing influence and diversity of Latino voices in the global podcasting industry.
