LifeWorks has announced the launch of a generative AI employee assistant aimed at improving access to policies and procedures, which is expected to expedite onboarding, training, and orientation. Supported by investment from Google Cloud, this technological advancement aims to address the unique challenges faced by nonprofits, including limited resources, high turnover rates, and complex regulatory environments.
Nonprofits often struggle with employee onboarding due to budget constraints and staff shortages, which hinder the development and implementation of comprehensive onboarding programs. The new AI assistant from LifeWorks is designed to sustain its functionality at a low cost, thereby helping nonprofits overcome these obstacles.
The LifeWorks platform is built upon key components provided by Google Cloud, Redis, and Arhasi. Redis, utilized by 58% of Fortune 500 companies, offers low latency and seamless generative AI search capabilities. It provides 20 times faster responses and reduces hallucinations for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) when used with Google’s Gemini 1.5-Flash in Vertex AI. This model is known for its lightweight, fast, and cost-efficient performance, featuring multimodal reasoning and a long context window of up to one million tokens. Redis also integrates with top generative AI frameworks like LangChain and LlamaIndex, reducing large language model (LLM) costs by over 30% through semantic caching.
Wendy Varnell, Chief Strategy Officer of LifeWorks, emphasized the importance of Arhasi’s AI frameworks and tools, stating, "Coupling Arhasi’s AI frameworks and tools is the accelerator pedal for rapid AI adoption. The LifeWorks AI employee assistant offers our employees a superior alternative for policy and procedure guidance."
By leveraging advanced technologies and the support from Google Cloud, LifeWorks aims to revolutionize the onboarding experience, making it more efficient and cost-effective for nonprofits. This innovation not only promises to enhance productivity but also to provide a scalable solution that can be adapted to various nonprofit organizations, potentially setting a new standard in the industry.
