MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (Ticker: MED; WKN 659 510) reported a solid performance for the first half of the 2026 fiscal year, with consolidated group revenues reaching EUR 386.4 million, up from EUR 368.1 million in the prior year. This 5.0% increase reflects consistent momentum from the first quarter, according to the company's interim report published on July 30, 2026.
Group EBIT improved significantly, rising by EUR 4.3 million to EUR 26.6 million compared to EUR 22.4 million in the same period last year. The company treated a total of 54,708 patients in the first half of 2026, up from 53,183 in the previous year, indicating steady demand for its services.
“We were able to build consistently on the positive momentum from the first quarter. This is clearly reflected in our half-year results: stability in our core business areas, efficient cost management and targeted investments have helped us to achieve our earnings targets for the second quarter,” said Tino Fritz, CFO of MEDICLIN. “We remain determined to maintain this momentum and to strengthen MEDICLIN’s growth in the long term.”
Performance across segments showed varied results. The Post-Acute segment generated revenues of EUR 263.0 million, a 4.6% increase from EUR 251.5 million in the previous year. EBIT for this segment rose by EUR 2.3 million to EUR 25.6 million. The cost of materials ratio improved to 19.0% from 20.0%, while staff costs increased by 7.2% to EUR 145.2 million, leading to a higher staff costs ratio of 55.2%.
The Acute Care segment reported revenues of EUR 111.2 million, up from EUR 104.6 million. However, EBIT remained negative at EUR -1.1 million, unchanged from the previous year. Cost of materials increased by 12.2% to EUR 34.6 million, with the cost of materials ratio rising to 31.1%.
Revenue in the Care segment increased slightly to EUR 12.3 million from EUR 12.1 million, while EBIT improved to EUR 0.2 million from a loss of EUR -0.2 million. The Service segment reported other income of EUR 69.2 million, and EBIT increased to EUR 1.9 million from EUR 0.5 million.
Looking ahead, the management board expects consolidated group revenues to increase by 3.5% to 6.5% for the full fiscal year, with group EBIT projected between EUR 57.0 million and EUR 72.0 million.
