MindWave Signs Two-Year Deal to Build AssureChain, Expanding Blockchain into Insurance

Apimeds Pharmaceuticals US, Inc. (NYSE American: APUS) subsidiary MindWave Innovations Inc. USA has signed a two-year master maintenance and service agreement with BlockAssure Inc. to build, deploy and operate AssureChain, a dedicated subnet of MindChain designed for BlockAssure's insurance and reinsurance operations.

Under the agreement, MindWave will design, develop, security-audit and deploy AssureChain, then host, operate and maintain the network. AssureChain will support contracts, policies, premium and payment entries, reinsurance treaties and claims processing. MindChain will provide the settlement layer and anchor AssureChain records to Ethereum, the press release states.

MindWave will receive contracted development fees payable in quarterly installments, with operating and maintenance fees to be agreed upon later. Additionally, MindWave will receive an allocation equal to 20% of the total supply of AssureCoin, a planned digital token within the MindChain network. During the agreement, MindWave will serve as BlockAssure's exclusive blockchain provider for AssureChain.

The agreement took effect Oct. 4, 2026, with development planned over four quarters. It will automatically renew for one-year periods following the initial two-year term unless either party provides 90 days' notice.

This deal matters because it marks a concrete step in bringing blockchain infrastructure into the insurance and reinsurance sector, an industry that relies on transparent, traceable and verifiable records. By integrating AssureChain with Ethereum via MindChain, the parties aim to create a dedicated environment for managing complex insurance contracts and claims, potentially reducing friction and increasing trust among insurers, reinsurers and policyholders.

For Apimeds Pharmaceuticals and its subsidiary MindWave, the agreement provides a multi-quarter development pipeline, recurring maintenance revenue and a significant stake in AssureCoin, aligning MindWave's incentives with the success of the AssureChain network. For BlockAssure, the deal secures an exclusive blockchain provider to build and operate its core infrastructure, which could accelerate its digital transformation.

Investors and industry observers may view the announcement as a signal that blockchain adoption is moving beyond pilot projects into operational, long-term commercial agreements. The inclusion of a token allocation also highlights how digital assets are increasingly tied to enterprise blockchain solutions.
