Nicola Mining and Ocean Partners Commit $10 Million to Blue Lagoon's Dome Mountain Gold-Silver Project

Nicola Mining Inc. (NASDAQ: NICM) (TSX.V: NIM) (FSE: HLIA) and Ocean Partners UK Limited have jointly committed a combined $10 million in financing to Blue Lagoon Resources (CSE: BLLG), with each investing $5 million. The funding is intended to support continued development and the production ramp-up of Blue Lagoon's 100%-owned Dome Mountain Gold and Silver Project near Smithers, British Columbia, toward a targeted production rate of 150 to 200 tonnes per day.

Nicola Mining completed its investment through a private placement at $0.60 per share, acquiring 8,333,333 common shares. This investment builds on Nicola's previous $1 million investment in Blue Lagoon completed in January 2024, while Ocean Partners has now committed a total of $8 million to Blue Lagoon. The financing strengthens the relationship among mine development, concentrate marketing, and milling infrastructure, with Nicola's wholly owned Merritt Mill expected to play an increasingly important role as Blue Lagoon advances production.

The announcement underscores the growing collaboration between mining companies and financiers to bring high-grade projects into production. For Nicola Mining, the investment aligns with its strategy of leveraging its fully permitted mill and tailings facility near Merritt, British Columbia, which can process both gold and silver mill feed via gravity and flotation processes. The company has signed Mining and Milling Profit Share Agreements with high-grade gold projects, positioning itself as a key service provider in the region.

Blue Lagoon's Dome Mountain project is a high-grade gold and silver property with significant potential. The additional capital will enable Blue Lagoon to accelerate its development timeline and achieve its targeted production rate. This is particularly important as the mining industry seeks to bring new supply to market amid fluctuating precious metals prices.

The investment also highlights the role of strategic partnerships in the junior mining sector. By aligning the interests of a mine developer (Blue Lagoon), a mill operator (Nicola), and a concentrate marketer (Ocean Partners), the financing creates an integrated value chain that can reduce risks and enhance project economics. Ocean Partners' involvement as a leading concentrate trader brings marketing expertise that could facilitate off-take agreements and revenue generation.

For investors, this financing signals confidence in the Dome Mountain project and the management teams involved. It also demonstrates the viability of collaborative financing structures in a sector often challenged by capital constraints. The investment may also have broader implications for the British Columbia mining industry, as it supports local economic development and job creation in the Smithers region.

Nicola Mining, a junior mining company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and Frankfurt Exchange, also owns 100% of the New Craigmont Project, a high-grade copper property covering 10,913 hectares along the southern end of the Guichon Batholith, adjacent to Highland Valley Copper, Canada's largest copper mine. The company also owns the Treasure Mountain Property, which includes 30 mineral claims and a mineral lease spanning over 2,200 hectares.

This financing represents a significant step for Blue Lagoon as it moves toward production. With the combined support of Nicola Mining and Ocean Partners, the project is well-positioned to achieve its goals and contribute to the supply of precious metals. The investment underscores the importance of strategic partnerships and diversified funding sources in advancing mining projects from development to production.
