Crit Team, the independent studio under ChillyRoom Game, announced today that a public multiplayer demo for its upcoming top-down PvE extraction shooter No Such Place will be available on Steam on June 15, 2026, ahead of Steam Next Fest. The demo supports solo play and 1–4 player online co-op, with partial progression data carrying over into the full game expected in Q4 2026.
In No Such Place, players assume the role of agents from the Unknown Research Consortium (U.R.C.), a mysterious organization dedicated to investigating supernatural anomalies erased from history. Dispatched into fragmented dimensions, agents must survive hostile environments, gather supplies and intelligence, and locate an extraction point before time runs out. The demo offers early access to the game's progression systems, including weapon customization, skill development, and Safehouse building.
The game's weapon customization system allows players to combine parts from different eras and technologies, such as attaching a motorcycle suppressor to an assault rifle or a Victorian brass scope to modern military hardware. This flexibility encourages experimentation with corrupted technology. Players also grow stronger across multiple progression paths, with physical attributes and weapon proficiencies improving through survival and combat.
Cooperative play is a core feature, with teams of up to four agents able to coordinate roles, cover more ground, and rescue each other before extraction. The developers emphasize that survival requires teamwork, as threats include not only monsters but also rival agents and deranged survivors. The Safehouse system allows players to build and upgrade their base using resources recovered during expeditions, turning scrap into essential survival tools.
The demo supports English, Japanese, and Chinese. A multiplayer trailer is available on YouTube. For more information, visit the official website or follow the game on X and Discord.
