Noble Mineral Exploration Inc. announced that drilling has commenced on a 500-meter hole in Carnegie Township near Timmins, Ontario. The program is part of a 50/50 partnership with 11530313 Canada Inc. and will include two 500-meter holes located to follow up on drilling conducted in 2019. Recent analysis of downhole geophysics from that program indicated conductors may have been missed, and additional downhole geophysics will be performed on the new holes.
An additional 1,000 meters of drilling across two holes has been scheduled for Southwest Carnegie Township in early 2026, after freeze-up, due to swampy conditions at the proposed drill site. The program is being carried out on lands recently transferred to Canada Nickel, but on which Noble retains a 5-year Exploration Right for volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization and precious metals.
Vance White, President and CEO of Noble, stated that the company is pleased to begin this program with partner support, continuing the search for mineralization similar to the Kidd Creek Mine. The technical content of the release was reviewed and approved by Wayne Holmstead, P.Geo., an independent Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
This drilling initiative matters because it represents continued investment in mineral exploration in a historically productive mining region. The Timmins area has been a significant contributor to Canada's mineral economy, and successful exploration could lead to new resource discoveries, job creation, and economic development in Northern Ontario. The focus on volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization, similar to the Kidd Creek Mine, suggests potential for base and precious metal deposits that could supply critical materials for various industries.
The program's timing and methodology reflect careful planning, with swampy conditions necessitating a winter schedule for the Southwest Carnegie Township portion. The use of downhole geophysics indicates a sophisticated approach to target identification, potentially increasing the efficiency of resource discovery. For investors and industry observers, this program represents Noble's ongoing commitment to its exploration portfolio in Northern Ontario, where the company holds extensive mineral and exploration rights.
The partnership structure with 11530313 Canada Inc. demonstrates collaborative approaches to funding exploration activities, which can be capital-intensive. Successful results from this program could validate previous geological interpretations and guide future exploration decisions across Noble's substantial land holdings. The company maintains an online presence at https://www.noblemineralexploration.com where additional information about its activities is available.
For the mining industry, this drilling program represents continued confidence in the exploration potential of established mining districts like Timmins. As global demand for minerals continues, particularly for nickel, copper, and precious metals used in technology and clean energy applications, successful exploration in proven regions could contribute to secure supply chains. The program's outcomes will be watched by stakeholders interested in Ontario's mineral development potential and its role in the broader Canadian resource sector.
