Nordex Group Secures Over 197 MW in New Orders from ENOVA and BMR in Germany

The Nordex Group has received new orders from wind energy companies ENOVA and BMR energy solutions for the supply and installation of 30 wind turbines with a combined capacity exceeding 197 MW in Germany. The contracts, finalized at the end of June, include long-term Premium Service agreements spanning 20 years. The projects are located in Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, and North Rhine-Westphalia, underscoring a continued push for renewable energy expansion in the country.

In Boldecker Land, Lower Saxony, ENOVA is executing a 68 MW repowering project using ten Nordex N163/6.X turbines. Installation is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2027, with commissioning expected in early 2028. Similarly, in Schleswig-Holstein, Nordex will supply ENOVA with six N149/5.X turbines totaling 34.2 MW, with construction beginning in early 2028 and commissioning slated for mid-2028.

Two projects in North Rhine-Westphalia—Nettetal and Breberen—were originally developed by BMR energy solutions. In Nettetal, which BMR sold to ENOVA, Nordex will provide five N163/6.X turbines. Construction is set to start in October 2027, with commissioning in early 2028. The Breberen project involves a partnership between ENOVA and BMR, replacing existing turbines with nine N163/6.X units to boost electricity production and site efficiency. Installation begins in October 2027, with commissioning in the second quarter of 2028.

“We have built a long-standing and trusting relationship with BMR, which we have successfully developed further through numerous projects. We are therefore all the more pleased to now also implement more joint projects with ENOVA again and to further expand our business relationship,” said Karsten Bruggemann, Vice President Region Europe of the Nordex Group. “The fact that both partners are relying on our technology and service expertise for these projects is a strong sign of confidence for us.”

Hendrik Böschen, Chief Operations Officer of ENOVA, highlighted the significance: “These projects mark the next milestone in the development of our wind farm portfolio. Together with Nordex and BMR energy solutions, we are bringing demanding projects into implementation in a cooperative, efficient and fast manner. The fact that we are driving several projects of this scale forward in parallel underscores ENOVA’s operational strength and scalability in the German wind energy market.”

The orders arrive as Germany accelerates its energy transition, with wind power playing a central role in meeting climate goals. ENOVA, which currently operates 1 GW of onshore wind and supplies around one million households with green electricity, aims to expand its portfolio to 3 GW by 2030, with assets under management reaching EUR 5 billion. BMR energy solutions, based in Geilenkirchen, has extensive experience in onshore wind development in western Germany.

For the wind energy industry, these contracts signal sustained demand for repowering and new installations, even amid regulatory and supply chain challenges. The long-term service agreements also highlight the growing importance of lifecycle support for turbine performance and reliability. As Nordex continues to deliver turbines in the 4 to 7 MW+ classes, these projects contribute to the modernization of Germany's wind fleet, potentially increasing efficiency and output from existing sites.

The Nordex Group, which has commissioned over 64 GW of wind power capacity since 1985 and reported consolidated sales of around EUR 7.6 billion in 2025, operates manufacturing facilities in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, and the USA. The company is listed on the MDAX and TecDAX of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. More details on the original announcement can be found at newmediawire.com.
