North Bay Resources CEO Jared Lazerson announced the successful completion of flooding and operational testing of flotation cells and frothing equipment at the Bishop Gold Mill in California. The flotation cells, combined with frothing reagents, are essential for separating gold and sulphides from the host rock, producing a gold concentrate that is subsequently dried and refined into gold bars.
Lazerson revealed that assays have confirmed the presence of 0.5 troy ounces of gold per ton of material from the surface. The company has earmarked an initial 5,000 tons of material for test processing, translating to approximately 2,500 troy ounces of gold. Metallurgical analyses are currently being conducted to ascertain the composition and make-up of the material, including the final grind and the effectiveness of the chosen frothing agent and flocculent used in the flotation cells.
North Bay Resources is actively reviewing gold mine acquisitions and joint ventures across the Western US and Canada, demonstrating a commitment to acquiring ounces in the ground to support the Bishop Mill and potential future expansions.
This development signifies an important step in North Bay Resources' strategy to enhance its gold production capabilities and broaden its asset base in North America.
