NWB Finland Oy Brings AINA Natural Water’s Bag-in-Box Packaging to Reduce Plastic in U.S. Market

NWB Finland Oy, a Finland-based company specializing in sustainable beverage packaging and natural water solutions, today announced plans to introduce AINA Natural Water to the U.S. market. The company aims to reduce plastic use while delivering premium Northern Finnish groundwater to consumers, businesses, hospitality venues, and events.

Headquartered in Pudasjärvi, Finland, NWB Finland Oy was founded with a mission to develop environmentally responsible alternatives to traditional beverage packaging. With AINA Natural Water, the company is pairing that packaging mission with naturally filtered groundwater sourced from Northern Finland, an area known for its forests, natural landscapes, and groundwater resources.

“Consumers are asking for better alternatives to single-use plastic bottles,” said Marita Weiman, Quality Assurance Manager at NWB Finland Oy. “AINA’s bag-in-box format is designed to reduce plastic waste while keeping water fresh, easy to serve, and ready in the refrigerator for the whole family.”

AINA Natural Water originates in the Pudasjärvi region of Northern Finland, where groundwater is naturally filtered through layers of soil, sand, and rock before being mechanically filtered and packaged. With a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) level of approximately 32 mg/L, AINA offers a soft, neutral taste profile with naturally low mineral content.

The company believes the U.S. market presents a strong opportunity for premium water products that also address consumer concerns about plastic waste, convenience, and sustainability. AINA Natural Water’s larger-format bag-in-box packaging is designed for modern households as well as offices, hotels, restaurants, catering, events, and other settings where high-quality hydration is needed without relying on large quantities of traditional plastic bottles.

The AINA Difference includes its Northern Finland source, natural filtration through soil and rock, measured purity with low TDS, a clean taste profile with naturally low mineral content, naturally low sodium, and sustainability-focused packaging that uses substantially less plastic than traditional bottled-water formats.

“In the U.S. market, we believe premium water should stand for both purity and responsibility,” Weiman said. “AINA Natural Water combines Northern Finnish natural water and more sustainable packaging in a format built for everyday consumer use.”

NWB Finland Oy plans to introduce AINA Natural Water in larger-format packaging, including 5-liter and 10-liter options, as part of its U.S. expansion strategy. For more information, visit ainanaturalwater.fi and nwb.fi.

This move could significantly impact the U.S. beverage industry by offering a sustainable alternative to single-use plastic bottles, potentially reducing plastic waste in households and commercial settings. For consumers, it provides a convenient and environmentally friendly way to enjoy premium water without the guilt of plastic pollution.
