OPPO Unveils Next Level of Making Behind Find X10 Series

OPPO has provided an in-depth look at the development, testing, and manufacturing processes behind its newly debuted Find X10 Series, highlighting an integrated approach to product design, mobile imaging, and artificial intelligence. The initiative, dubbed the Next Level of Making, follows the global debut of the flagship series, which features an industry-first Triple 200MP Camera System on the Find X10 Pro Max, a next-generation LUMO True Image Engine, an all-new flagship design, and the AI-powered ColorOS 17. The company invited media to tour its operations, revealing how each technology and feature is developed, tested, and verified through rigorous processes designed to deliver exceptional levels of quality and consistency on a global scale.

“Quality is the foundation of OPPO’s entire product portfolio, and our control over the product creation process is what allows us to realize this commitment at scale,” said Ling Liu, Overseas CMO of OPPO. “Last year, we introduced Apex Guard to show how our commitment to quality goes beyond everyday use, product lifespans, and industry standards. This year, we are opening up our development, testing, and manufacturing processes to unveil how that vision translates into the Next Level of Making, and ultimately elevates the products and experiences we deliver.” The announcement, distributed via Media OutReach Newswire, underscores OPPO’s effort to differentiate its flagship lineup through verifiable quality and manufacturing transparency.

The Next Level of Making begins with design. The Find X10 Series features OPPO’s Clean and Sophisticated design language, exemplified by a One-Piece Sculpted Glass design in which the glass back cover gradually rises toward the camera area, creating a three-level transition that softens the camera’s visual impact. On the Luna White edition of the Find X10 Pro Max, a fluted texture crafted through high-precision CNC engraving lines the vertical edge of the camera module, nodding to the focus ring of classic lenses. The Luna White colorway alone underwent over 40 rounds of fine-tuning, and a single rear-panel pattern requires more than 10 rounds of refinement across multi-stage precision treatments to achieve the intended appearance and durability.

The camera system reflects a similar commitment. Building on co-development with Hasselblad that began in 2022, the Find X10 Series offers three Hasselblad modes—Master Mode, Hi-Res Mode, and Portrait Mode—while the LUMO True Image Engine operates across three imaging architectures: the Natural Tone Engine, the True Color Engine, and the Hyper Pixel Engine. The True Color Engine draws more accurate source information from a 24-channel multispectral sensor, and the Hyper Pixel Engine enables continuous 26MP output by default across the main, telephoto, and ultra-wide cameras from ultra-wide to 9.9x zoom in Auto Mode, and uses multi-frame fusion to produce full-resolution 200MP photos at native focal length in Hasselblad Hi-Res Mode. OPPO evaluates image quality against industry benchmarks and its own True-to-Life criteria, testing HDR performance, facial brightness, and skin-tone gradation across 40 different lighting conditions, and testing color against 140 different colors rather than the industry-standard 24-color chart.

ColorOS 17 brings system-level AI to the series, supported by a dedicated security framework. The updated AI Mind Pilot adds an Agent Mode powered by third-party AI agent Manus, which operates directly on the device across photos and files to understand complex context and execute multi-step workflows in real time. A new AI Photo Agent, backed by OPPO’s proprietary Visual-Language Model and six expert image models, interprets visual references and natural-language instructions to make edits. Behind these capabilities, OPPO operates nine Internet Data Centers across six regions with 99.99% availability, and its Private Computing Cloud, developed with Google, isolates and protects user data when processed in the cloud.

Manufacturing scale underpins the effort. Since introducing automated manufacturing in 2017, OPPO has expanded to nine smart manufacturing centers globally, spanning China, India, Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, Brazil, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. These facilities operate with over 95% of Surface Mount Technology production lines and an average of 85% of final assembly lines fully automated. At the Chang’an Intelligent Manufacturing Center in China, more than 300 automated testing stations on final assembly lines help accelerate the path from initial innovation to high-quality production at scale, with the center shipping up to 7,200 finished Find X10 Pro Max devices every day.

The disclosure matters because it offers a rare window into how a major smartphone maker controls quality from design through mass production—an issue that directly affects device reliability, camera consistency, and AI privacy for consumers worldwide. For the industry, OPPO’s emphasis on automated manufacturing and extensive testing raises the bar for transparency in flagship development, while its AI security framework and localized data centers signal how global brands are adapting to regional regulatory requirements. For readers, the takeaway is that the Find X10 Series’ claims rest on measurable processes: 40 lighting conditions, 140 test colors, and 99.99% data center availability, all aimed at delivering more consistent products at scale.
