His extensive professional history includes leadership roles at prominent financial institutions such as Signature Bank and North Fork Bank, where he developed comprehensive skills in underwriting, origination, and risk management.
During his tenure at Signature Bank, Bermudez played a pivotal role in managing a substantial $33+ billion commercial real estate loan portfolio. His strategic approach and deep understanding of the sector contributed to the bank's growth and stability. Most recently, prior to joining Peapack Private Bank & Trust, he served as Managing Director at A&E Real Estate Finance, a boutique private credit platform.
Bermudez's academic credentials further underscore his professional capabilities. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from Dowling College and graduated from SUNY Empire State College. Additionally, his ongoing involvement as a board member for The Real Estate Institute at Stony Brook University demonstrates his commitment to advancing industry knowledge and education.
