Powermax Minerals Completes 2026 Field Program at Cameron REE Project, Advancing Rare Earth Exploration in British Columbia

Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) (FSE: T23) has announced the completion of its 2026 field exploration program at the Cameron Rare Earth Element (REE) Project, located near Revelstoke, British Columbia. The program, conducted in July and August, involved geological mapping, prospecting, rock-chip, soil, and stream-sediment sampling, along with handheld radiometric screening across priority target areas. The company collected a total of 250 samples, comprising 50 rock-chip, 50 soil, and 150 stream-sediment samples, all of which have been submitted to AGAT Laboratories in Calgary for analysis.

This exploration effort was designed to expand geological and geochemical coverage of areas identified through previous sampling, mapped pegmatites, geological contacts, and drainage catchments. The data gathered will be crucial for refining and ranking targets for potential additional surface work, trenching, or future drill evaluation. Following the receipt of laboratory results and completion of its QA/QC review, Powermax plans to integrate the analytical data with geological and radiometric field information to prioritize next steps.

The Cameron REE Project comprises three mineral claims totaling approximately 2,984 hectares in British Columbia, and Powermax holds an option to acquire the property. The company is focused on advancing rare earth element projects, which are vital for modern technologies including electronics, renewable energy systems, and defense applications. With global demand for rare earth elements rising, exploration projects like Cameron are significant for securing domestic supply chains and reducing reliance on foreign sources.

Powermax also holds options on the Atikokan REE Property in NW Ontario (455 unpatented mining claims) and the 5,178-hectare Pinard REE in Northern Ontario, and owns a 100% interest in the Ogden Bear Lodge Project in Crook County, Wyoming. The completion of this field program at Cameron is a key milestone for the company as it continues to evaluate its portfolio of rare earth assets.

The importance of this announcement lies in the growing need for rare earth elements, which are critical for the transition to clean energy and high-tech industries. By advancing exploration at Cameron, Powermax is contributing to the identification of potential domestic sources of these strategic minerals, which could have significant economic and geopolitical implications. The results from the 250 samples will provide valuable insights into the mineralization potential of the project, guiding future investment and development decisions.
