The Public Relations Club of New England will recognize outstanding communication professionals from across the region at its 57th Annual Bell Ringer Awards, showcasing innovative campaigns and raising funds for a local community organization. The event, scheduled for June 3, 2025, at the Museum of Science, will feature Emmy-nominated multimedia journalist Emily Schario as host.
More than 30 organizations, including agencies, in-house teams, and nonprofits, are competing for recognition in this year's awards. Finalists represent a diverse cross-section of communication professionals, with eight organizations designated as Super Bell Award candidates, representing the highest achievements in strategic communication.
A significant aspect of this year's event is its commitment to social impact. The PR Club will support CommonWealth Kitchen, a Dorchester-based nonprofit that provides commercial kitchen space and entrepreneurial training to underrepresented food entrepreneurs, particularly women, immigrants, and people of color. The event will feature a 50/50 raffle, with the PR Club matching all donations raised.
PR Club President Kaitlynn Cooney emphasized the event's importance, stating that it represents more than an awards ceremony. The event provides a critical opportunity for communication professionals to reconnect, celebrate industry achievements, and support community initiatives.
The Bell Ringer Awards have been a cornerstone of professional recognition in New England's communication landscape since 1967. By highlighting exceptional campaigns and supporting local community efforts, the event underscores the evolving role of public relations and communications in driving both professional excellence and social change.
