Rack Room Shoes has announced the winners of its annual Teacher of the Year contest, recognizing five outstanding educators for their significant contributions to their students and communities. Each of the winning teachers will receive a $10,000 technology grant for their school and a $500 Rack Room Shoes gift card.

This year's recipients include Glorian Cardona, a first-grade teacher at St. Joseph Catholic Parish School in Athens, Georgia; Hilary Hadley, a first-grade teacher at Coosa Valley Elementary in Cropwell, Alabama; Kendria Jones, a ninth-grade teacher at Pine Bluff Junior High in Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Grace Norton, a first-grade teacher at Northern Elementary in Lexington, Kentucky; and Shantana Valdez, a middle school teacher at Santa Rosa Middle School in Santa Rosa, New Mexico.

The contest began with an open call for nominations, inviting individuals nationwide to share stories of their favorite teachers and the positive impacts these educators have had. More than 388 teachers were nominated, each demonstrating exceptional dedication to their students. Following a public voting period, five winners were chosen.
