Relay Hill Auto Acquires Motor Tech Auto Repair, Preserving a 40-Year Legacy in Littleton

Relay Hill Auto, the fastest-growing independent automotive group in Colorado, has completed the acquisition of Motor Tech Auto Repair, a trusted shop serving Littleton, Centennial, and south Denver since 1982. The acquisition underscores the company's commitment to preserving respected neighborhood repair shops while strengthening their teams, facilities, and customer experiences.

For more than four decades, Motor Tech Auto Repair has built its reputation on honest service, dependable repairs, and long-term customer relationships. The award-winning garage has served drivers throughout Littleton, Centennial, Greenwood Village, Englewood, and Highlands Ranch, helping families, commuters, and local businesses keep their vehicles safe and reliable. Brian and Charlie, who have overseen the shop since its founding, have emphasized integrity and knowledge sharing. Charlie, born and raised in the automotive industry, stated, "I wanted to create something with all the knowledge I had gained over the years. One of the most rewarding parts of this business has been passing that knowledge on and watching them grow."

Motor Tech Auto Repair will continue operating at its familiar location at 6599 S Broadway in Littleton. By joining the Relay Hill Auto network, the shop gains operational support, expanded training resources, and access to shared best practices across a growing group of locally managed, best-in-class facilities. Relay Hill Auto CEO Shiju Thomas highlighted the responsibility to protect the trust Motor Tech has earned: "Motor Tech Auto Repair has been an institution of customer service for over 40 years. Our responsibility is to protect that longstanding trust, support the team, and build on the reputation this shop has earned." He added, "We believe in neighborhood automotive repair. Local business is part of the integral fabric holding local communities together."

Under Relay Hill Auto, the shop will focus on technician development, modern diagnostic capabilities, digital vehicle inspections, and a service experience built on transparency, hospitality, and trust. The group is also deploying AI to enhance customer communication, create workflow transparency, and improve service quality. Senior Manager Cody Leach noted, "The addition of Motor Tech Auto Repair is not about our company simply becoming bigger. We want to make the old school community garage cool again! We'll do that and elevate the industry by modernizing neighborhood shops and bringing a focus back to customers."

Relay Hill Auto operates multiple shops across the Denver metro area, including Hotchkiss Auto Repair (Denver), Arvada Square Auto (Arvada), Applewood Auto Care (Lakewood), Applewood Auto Service (Wheat Ridge), Advanced Transmission Center (Lakewood & Westminster), and now Motor Tech Auto Repair (Littleton). Each location remains locally managed, united by a shared mission of building community in the neighborhoods they serve and within their shops.

This acquisition matters because it reflects a trend of independent auto repair groups consolidating to preserve local service traditions while adapting to technological advancements. For customers, it means continuity of trusted service with enhanced capabilities, potentially setting a new standard for transparency and quality in the industry.
