The annual Cinema Center, a prominent media and hospitality hub during the Sundance Film Festival, will be rebranded as the Rendezvous Cinema Center for 2025, marking a significant partnership with Rendezvous Media Ventures. The event will transform Loma Park City restaurant into a dynamic platform for filmmakers, industry professionals, and entertainment enthusiasts.
Rendezvous Media Ventures, a newly established hedge fund led by Michael Perrone, Craig Matus, and Slater Wayne, brings an innovative approach to entertainment financing. The company utilizes a proprietary algorithm to identify and support promising film and music projects, offering investors limited-risk opportunities in the entertainment sector.
The three-day event will feature an array of sponsored cocktail parties, networking events, and press junkets. Key partners include Hendrick's Gin, which will showcase specialty cocktails, and Sommsation, providing sommelier-curated wine experiences. Collider will host an Annual Interview Studio, attracting top filmmakers and actors for exclusive content.
Hydration will be provided by neaū water, offering chemical-free refreshment at high altitude. The Cinema Center aims to create a comprehensive experience that not only supports the filmmaker community but also raises awareness about industry challenges.
David Manning, CEO of Roxstar Entertainment, emphasized the event's broader mission of supporting Los Angeles residents affected by recent fires, demonstrating the program's commitment to community impact beyond entertainment networking.
With over 7.25 billion dollars in assets under management, Rendezvous Media Ventures represents a significant investment in the entertainment industry's future, providing a platform for emerging talent and innovative storytelling.
