SS Innovations Touts 15,000 Robotic Surgeries as SSi Mantra Expands Telesurgery and Global Reach

SS Innovations International (NASDAQ: SSII) has performed more than 15,000 procedures using its SSi Mantra robotic surgical systems, including approximately 750 cardiac procedures, CEO Dr. Sudhir Srivastava said in a recent interview with The Motley Fool. The disclosure, detailed in a company announcement carried by NEWMEDIAWIRE, underscores the growing clinical adoption of the platform and its potential to reshape how robotic surgery is delivered globally.

According to the announcement, more than 200 telesurgeries have also been performed using the platform, including 27 cardiac procedures. Telesurgery allows specialist surgical expertise to be extended to underserved communities, a capability that could broaden access to advanced care in regions where such specialists are scarce. Srivastava highlighted the SSi Mantra’s differentiated engineering, including 4K 3D visualization, surgeon-controlled anatomical imaging and a modular design supporting up to five robotic arms.

The company is preparing to expand its Indian manufacturing capacity through a planned 10-acre facility, with the objective of bringing additional production capabilities in-house. Regulatory applications in Europe and the United States are also progressing, with management targeting international expansion through direct sales and opportunities in ambulatory surgery centers. These moves matter because regulatory clearances in major markets could open significant new revenue streams for SS Innovations and intensify competition in the robotic surgery sector, where hospitals and surgery centers are increasingly weighing cost and versatility when selecting platforms.

Commercial momentum appears strong. The company reported first-half 2026 revenue increasing approximately 66% year-over-year to about $25 million. That growth rate suggests the SSi Mantra is gaining traction in a market long dominated by larger players, and it could signal to investors and healthcare providers that alternatives to established robotic systems are viable. For patients, wider adoption of robotic and telesurgery platforms may eventually translate into more precise procedures and greater access to specialized care, though the announcement did not provide clinical outcome data.

Srivastava’s comments to The Motley Fool’s Rachel Warren framed the company’s commercial growth as a combination of technological capabilities, clinical experience and affordability.
