TOMY International, in collaboration with Paramount, has announced the launch of a crowd-funded Star Trek Klingon D7 Battle Cruiser, a detailed replica of the iconic ship from the original series. This project marks the third collaboration between the two companies and introduces the first enemy ship in the Star Trek fleet to be offered by TOMY. The pre-order period for this highly anticipated collectible begins on August 6, 2025, and runs through September 5, 2025.
The 1:350 scale premium die-cast model is designed with input from renowned Star Trek experts to ensure accuracy. It features two color options: the Original Concept Design and the Original TV Series Screen Model, each representing a piece of Star Trek history. The model includes exciting features such as three light modes, remote control, two Klingon Shuttlecraft, and a display base with a Type-C USB power plug. Additionally, buyers will receive a Klingon D7 Collectible Cutaway Poster illustrated by Matthew Cushman.
Morgan Weyl, Managing Director of Licensing and Global Development at TOMY International, expressed enthusiasm about the project, highlighting its significance as a new addition to the Star Trek collection. The model is priced at $699 USD and is available for fans in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Production will commence in the fall of 2025, with delivery expected by Winter 2026.
This crowd-funded project not only offers Star Trek fans a unique opportunity to own a piece of the franchise's history but also demonstrates the growing trend of involving fans directly in the creation of collectibles. For more information, fans can visit startrek-signup.tomy.com/d7.
