Vancouver's largest auction house, The Mad Picker & Direct Auctions, has announced a two-day live online auction on June 27 and 28, 2026, featuring a remarkable 45-year private collection of vintage electronics. The sale, hosted by The Mad Picker and conducted live online by Jeff Schwarz, star of the hit TV series The Liquidator, will offer collectors, restorers, audio enthusiasts, radio operators, and vintage technology investors the chance to acquire hundreds of rare and collectible pieces accumulated over four decades.

The auction, starting at 1:00 PM PDT each day, showcases an impressive range of vintage electronics spanning the golden age of radio, hi-fi audio, military communications, and early consumer technology. Among the standout items are the Marantz Model 18 Stereophonic Receiver, which was the very first receiver ever produced by Marantz; a rare vintage McIntosh Model P-50D Power Supply; a Marantz Model 2270 Stereophonic Receiver; and a NordMende Caruso Console Radio. Collectors will find equipment and components from many respected manufacturers, including Marantz, McIntosh, Sansui, Sony, Harman Kardon, Pioneer, Dynaco, Panasonic, JVC, Philips, Hitachi, Eico, Bogen, and many more.

The collection also features WWII-era radio and communications equipment, vintage testing instruments, vacuum tube electronics, radar and signal equipment, amateur radio gear, and other rare technological artifacts seldom seen in public auction. "Collections like this rarely come to market," says Jeff Schwarz, owner of Direct Auctions and star of the internationally broadcast TV series The Liquidator. "This is a true time capsule of vintage electronics. Whether you're a serious collector, a restoration expert, or simply passionate about the history of technology, this auction offers an incredible opportunity to own pieces that may never surface again."

Many of the items have been carefully preserved over the past 45 years and represent a unique mix of consumer electronics, military communications technology, and classic hi-fi equipment. Through Direct Auctions & The Mad Picker, collectors from around the world will be able to participate live and bid on these exceptional pieces in real time. The auction will be conducted live online, allowing bidders from worldwide to participate, and worldwide shipping is offered.

A public preview of the items will take place on June 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM PDT at 2635 Lillooet St, Vancouver, BC. The preview day allows collectors and fans to view many of the items in person before bidding begins. The auction catalog and registration are available online at bid.directauctions.com.
