Cleveland Metropolitan School District Achieves Significant Cost and Environmental Benefits with EcoChem's High Performance Clean Diesel Fuel

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) has substantiated significant economic and environmental advantages through the use of EcoChem's High Performance Clean Diesel (HPCD) Fuel. Following a 12-week trial comparing traditional diesel fuel with HPCD, the district reported an 8% fuel savings and an estimated 5% savings in maintenance and equipment life, translating to over $250,000 in annual savings. This achievement underscores the practical benefits of adopting advanced fuel technologies in public transportation fleets.

CMSD's latest evaluation was prompted by the installation of new, clean fuel tanks at their depot. The district sought to determine whether the new infrastructure would enhance the performance of cheaper Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) compared to HPCD. Despite the clean tanks, fuel samples taken after nine months revealed contamination and degradation, reinforcing the necessity of EcoChem's HPCD fuel treatment protocol. This protocol ensures ultra-refined fuel quality, optimizing combustion and fuel efficiency, while significantly reducing black smoke and dirty exhaust emissions.

According to CMSD Transportation Director Mr. Bower, “Even with new pumps and tanks, HPCD still outperformed traditional diesel by 8%. Clearly, the HPCD fuel treatment protocol works and delivers consistent savings regardless of the condition of tanks.” This consistent performance highlights the robustness of EcoChem's fuel treatment, which maintains high fuel quality throughout its lifecycle.
