MAX Power Mining Prepares Largest Step-Out Yet at Lawson Natural Hydrogen Discovery

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) is preparing to mobilize Savanna Drill Rig #629 and crew for Lawson 5, the largest step-out to date from its Lawson Complex Natural Hydrogen Discovery. The well will target an area approximately 27 to 31 km northeast of Lawson 1 through Lawson 4 and is designed to test the scale potential of the broader Genesis Trend both across a 30-km mobile belt and along the 475-km Salt Wall extending toward the North Dakota border.

The move follows the successful casing and cementing of Lawson 4, which encountered the highest Natural Hydrogen readings to date at Lawson, along with a thick basal Cambrian reservoir featuring high permeability and porosity. Those results suggest the presence of a substantial natural hydrogen system, and Lawson 5 will be the first to test whether the system extends significantly beyond the initial discovery area.

The company is also planning near-term completions programs at Lawson and Bracken, where independent evaluation identified multiple prospective Natural Hydrogen and helium zones. Data from the expanded drilling and completions programs will feed MAXX LEMI, the company’s AI-assisted proprietary platform, which is expected to help refine targeting and optimize future exploration.

MAX Power is an innovative mineral and energy exploration company focused on the shift to decarbonization. The Lawson Discovery near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, represents Canada’s first-ever subsurface Natural Hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling, with data validated by three independent labs. The company has built dominant district-scale land positions across Saskatchewan with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of Natural Hydrogen. MAX Power also holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals, highlighted by a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, 100%-owned by MAX Power’s U.S. subsidiary.

For investors, the Lawson 5 step-out is a critical test of whether the Genesis Trend can support a scalable natural hydrogen resource. If successful, it could de-risk a much larger area and accelerate the company’s path toward commercial development. Natural hydrogen is gaining attention as a potential low-carbon energy source, and confirmation of a large-scale system in Saskatchewan could position MAX Power as a first-mover in the emerging hydrogen economy. The company is committed to responsible exploration and development practices that prioritize environmental stewardship, meaningful community engagement, and strong corporate governance.
