The American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division has selected Amin R. Yacoub, an immigration attorney at Bogin, Munns & Munns, P.A., as one of its 2026 On the Rise — Top 40 Young Lawyers Award recipients. The national award honors 40 ABA young lawyer members who demonstrate exceptional achievement, innovation, leadership, and service to the legal profession and their communities.
Yacoub, based in Orlando, was recognized for his work as a business immigration attorney, legal scholar, and advocate for individuals and businesses navigating the U.S. immigration system. He represents clients nationwide in employment-based immigration matters, with a particular focus on EB-2 National Interest Waiver and EB-1 Extraordinary Ability petitions. His practice includes professionals, entrepreneurs, physicians, scientists, engineers, researchers, and investors.
What sets Yacoub apart is his personal experience with the immigration process. Having himself obtained permanent residency through the National Interest Waiver, he understands the stakes for his clients. “Immigration cases are rarely just paperwork. They decide where someone builds a career, raises a family and contributes their work,” Yacoub said. “I went through the National Interest Waiver process myself, so I know what my clients are carrying while they wait. He earned a Master of Laws in International Law from New York University School of Law, where he received a full-tuition scholarship and served as a graduate editor of the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics.
